My husband is a sports book gambler so when he heard that Mississippi opened up to sports book I knew it was only a matter of time before we had the opportunity to visit. I absolutely love this Hotel. The room was nice, clean and had a great view. We've visited twice in the past month and I brought my 8 year old when I saw the lazy river the first time. He absolutely enjoyed it and after running around the pool a few times, it was great exercise for me too. The first time we visited we ate at the grille and the prices were extremely reasonable and the service was friendly and fast. The food was of great quality so there was no need to venture to the buffet since this was a quick overnight trip.
Our second trip we checked in and were just in time for the dinner buffet. It was utterly amazing! The food was absolutely delicious I ate the baked fish, fried fish, and lobster. At first I wasn't thrilled to pay $35 for a kids buffet because he's only going to eat a few slices of pizza and a dessert but it was well worth the price and quality since I practically ate my share and his.
You have to try this place. You'd have to be looking for Vegas but end up in Mississippi if you give this anything less than a 4 rating. It's not Vegas but it's beautiful.
The hotel is in a very small town. The cafe is small and the food is cafeteria like. The water that fills the sinks and bathtubs in the rooms has a brown tint. When you fill the tub the water be brown. I didn't brush my teeth with the sink water and had to use bottled water. The casino allows smoking so as soon as you walk into the hotel or get off the elevators that is what you smell. For as much as you pay for a room the experience especially the water was not worth it at all.
We all lost money at this casino. Don't go there , go to Biloxi. Competitive casinos make for a winning experience. We all won jackpots at Harrah's Biloxi and big wins at a couple others we visited. Hollywood was a bad experience. We'll never go there again.
This is a dump of a "Resort"
Where do I begin? The pool has potential but due to covid you are required to bring your own tube which is not told to you even though I called a week before to inquire about the rental of a cabana. Upon check in this is also not related to the guest. The pool allows coolers but doesn't allow everyone to have a cooler and one staff member will tell you to bring your cooler to the room by one of the pool staff but another pool staff will tell you coolers are allowed. This was only after I asked if I could keep the juice boxes for my kids at the pool since they don't sell them at the pool bar. I was told they have sprite and coke for the kids.
The room is bare due to covid. You can't have a alarm clock, microwave or refrigerator due to covid. The ice machine and vending machines are also off limits due to covid.
Hand sanitizer is displayed around the resort but empty. They don't have a limit on how many people can ride the elevator together but do want you to wear a mask. They have a temperature check machine but when I went to use it was told it's not necessary.
The coffee shop downstairs takes the cake. I purchased drinks and food all day long on July 4th and wake up on the 5th for a coffee and was asked for my ID to use my credit card. I can't find the old fashioned ID card so I pull up my electronic one that is federally backed. Angela and Eisabeth say thy it's not allowed at this casino and they don't care who accepts it. I frantically look for my ID and then explain it may be in my car. Thank goodness it is. I come back and they don't sanitize their hands and want to hold my cc and id lucky I carry around hand sanitizer. I then add chicken salad and asked for a fork and they look at me like I've asked for them to move a mountain. They talk under their breath how I have nerve. The chicken salad is in a take away area of the bistro and they removed all forks due to covid.
The best part of the hotel is the ac view with some water out of the window.
We were here for the New Year's Eve are you can eat lobster fest for $34 we stayed in the RV park while the casino is beautiful and quite the resort the RV park is also beautiful and quite a resort however I've never been One to take a lukewarm shower.
Yes that's right the RV park has Luke warm showers.Hotel has roaches, room very dirty, stains and cigarette burns all over carpet. Slots are the tightest I have ever experienced, stay far away and save your money! Booked four nights for a vacation, big mistake.
This is a great place to go and have a little fun. The people are all so nice and friendly. The food is great and prices are fair. The buffet is one of the best on the Gulf Coast. Things are a little different because of Covid but still a great place for a great meal.
I usually enjoy eating at the epic buffet but on this particular day the snow crabs was very hard to peel and rubbery. I know since COVID they are using bus pans with lids to keep them warm. I'm thinking maybe they are still being cooked versus before COVID.

The staff was nice and friendly and helpful . Our room the beds didn’t have a fitted sheet on them so it kept coming off and no refrigerator or microwave .

WE Felt deceived!!!This place is all about money, getting yours that is!!~&~. WE chose that place and booked there primarily for the king with a river view. BUT At checking they informed us "NOTING" is guaranteed, NOTHING!! WE BOOKED IT, WHAT? We did whine enough and got lousy a 5th floor view of the air conditioning and mechanical stuff. BUT o yea their photos are a lie. Loved the workman's ladder laying up on it ;<(. If we looked over far enough, we saw water, but no f way like the photo's. Next we were charged a "RESORT" fee, I ask what that was for> I was told for the internet access and swimming pool use. Really, come on, the internet! And the pool was OUTSIDE and it was JANUARY. Lastly the entire staff attitude was ridiculous, grumps. Well except the check in lady, no way in the world would I want her job. O forgot to mention your charged a $100 deposit for incidentals (?) No idea. PUT YOUR PEDAL TO THE METAL PAST THIS HOLE.

The desk check in clerk was indifferent as if they wanted to be somewhere else. There was no spread or comforter on the bed when we entered the room. The commode was very low and not chair height. The in-room coffee was terrible with only one packet of your sweetener choice. The desk lamp was not working. The entry door needed a firm push to ensure lock engagement.

The room was clean but we had to leave 2 days early because the casino had so much smoke. Even with a mask on it was unbearable. I have COPD and just could not stand to be around all of the smoke. As it turned out the ventilation was not on. If you are looking for a nice place don't stay here. The staff at the front desk acted like it was a bother to help me with a question.

Definitely not worth $200 a night. Rooms are identical to red roof inn not to mention the smoke throughout the ventilation.🙄 this couple won’t return.

Cons:I left my wallet in Atlanta 500 miles away, was waiting for Amex to deliver a card. Hotel wouldn't let me check in even though I have $2000 cash on me. Because they couldn't take a $100 deposit off a credit card. NO EXCEPTIONS so travelers who have their stuff stolen or lost aret Welcome! Head to Beau Rivage in Biloxi, lost my Id years ago they checked me in and gave me a room holding the keys to my car until I got to a bank the next day! That's customer service.... will never stay here again!
Pros:We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have always been pleased.
Cons:As we are on our way to the hotel, my husband has to be rushed to the hospital. We tried multiple times to get assistance to either transfer dates or cancel the reservation. The hotel told us they were unable to help us and gave us a number to call. After 30+ minutes on the phone going through numerous prompts, we were finally connected to a customer service representative. The CSR was very difficult to understand and stated she was also unable to help us, even after providing all of the requested information. After googling to locate an alternate number, and making yet another call, we were told nothing could be done and was charged the full amount. Thankfully, my husband is going to be ok. I understand having a policy but there should be exceptions for extenuating circumstances.
Pros:easy check in, pool area and lazy river are nice, like the seniors buffet and close to old town Bay St Louiswhich is a great place to walk around and check out shops,resturantats and historic train depot .

WE Felt deceived!!!This place is all about money, getting yours that is!!~&~. WE chose that place and booked there primarily for the king with a river view. BUT At checking they informed us "NOTING" is guaranteed, NOTHING!! WE BOOKED IT, WHAT? We did whine enough and got lousy a 5th floor view of the air conditioning and mechanical stuff. BUT o yea their photos are a lie. Loved the workman's ladder laying up on it ;<(. If we looked over far enough, we saw water, but no f way like the photo's. Next we were charged a "RESORT" fee, I ask what that was for> I was told for the internet access and swimming pool use. Really, come on, the internet! And the pool was OUTSIDE and it was JANUARY. Lastly the entire staff attitude was ridiculous, grumps. Well except the check in lady, no way in the world would I want her job. O forgot to mention your charged a $100 deposit for incidentals (?) No idea. PUT YOUR PEDAL TO THE METAL PAST THIS HOLE.

The room was clean but we had to leave 2 days early hollywood casino bay st louis the casino had so much smoke. Even with a mask on it was unbearable. I have COPD and just could not stand to be around all of the smoke. As it turned out the ventilation hollywood casino bay st louis not on. If you are looking for a nice place don't stay here. The staff at the front desk acted like it was a bother to help me with a question.
