Whether you are an aircraft owner, a chief pilot, a charter broker, or a corporate flight department — here is what each registration prefix means and what Enthral Aviation can arrange for it.
UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
One of the most widely seen business jet registrations globally. G-registered aircraft are certified by the UK CAA. Frequently available for charter across Europe, the Middle East, and globally.
DGAC — Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile
French-registered business jets, certified by the DGAC. Common in European business aviation, particularly around Paris Le Bourget — one of Europe's busiest private jet airports.
Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA)
German-registered private jets, regulated by the LBA (now under Luftfahrtbundesamt, operating under EASA). A high density of D-registered business jets operate across Central Europe.
CAA San Marino
San Marino registrations are widely used by international operators for their favourable environment — including import tax exemption for foreign-owned aircraft operating under an AOC. Many European and Asian-owned jets carry a T7 registration.
FOCA — Federal Office of Civil Aviation
Swiss-registered private jets, certified by FOCA. Geneva and Zurich are major European business aviation hubs, and HB- is one of the most recognised prefixes in the sector.
Austro Control
Austrian-registered business jets, regulated by Austro Control under EASA. Vienna is a significant Central European business aviation hub and OE- registered aircraft are common across the continent.
ANAC Portugal
Portuguese-registered private jets. CS- is commonly used by international operators due to Portugal's EASA membership and well-established aviation registry framework.
British Overseas Territory Registries
VQ-B (Cayman Islands) and VP-B (Bermuda) are popular registrations for internationally owned private jets. Both are British Overseas Territories with their own CAA-oversight aviation registries, widely used in global business aviation.
Isle of Man Aircraft Registry
The Isle of Man operates its own aircraft registry under UK CAA oversight. M- registered aircraft are increasingly common in business aviation globally.
Direction de l'Aviation Civile
Luxembourg-registered business jets. Luxembourg's central European location and regulatory framework make it a common registration choice for business aviation operators.
Transport Malta — Civil Aviation
Maltese-registered business jets, an EASA member state. 9H- is a growing registration for internationally owned aircraft in the European market.
Scandinavian Registries
Nordic-registered private jets from Denmark (OY-), Norway (LN-), and Sweden (SE-). Scandinavian business aviation is active, particularly in the energy sector.
Irish Aviation Authority (IAA)
Irish-registered aircraft, widely used in leasing and business aviation. EI- is a common prefix for European charter and corporate aviation operators.
GCAA — General Civil Aviation Authority
UAE-registered private jets, regulated by the GCAA. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are among the world's most active private jet hubs. A6- registered aircraft are available across the Gulf and on international routes.
QCAA — Qatar Civil Aviation Authority
Qatari-registered business jets, regulated by the QCAA. Doha-based and regionally operated aircraft, common on Gulf and international charter routes.
CAAS — Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore
Singapore-registered private jets. Singapore is Southeast Asia's primary business aviation hub, with Seletar Airport as the dedicated general aviation facility.
CAAC / HKCAD / CAA Taiwan
B- prefix covers mainland China (CAAC), Hong Kong (HKCAD), and Taiwan (CAA). An increasingly active segment of Asian business aviation, particularly in the ultra-long-range category.
DGCA — Directorate General of Civil Aviation
Indian-registered private jets, regulated by the DGCA. The VT- prefix covers India's growing privately owned and charter fleet, operating under NSOP permits issued by the DGCA.

Private jet registrations — answered.
G- is the registration prefix for the United Kingdom, issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). A G-registered private jet is a UK-certified aircraft. These are among the most widely operated business jets globally and are frequently available for charter across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Asia.
F- is the French registration prefix, issued by the DGAC. F-registered business jets are common across European business aviation and frequently operate out of Paris Le Bourget, one of the world's busiest private jet airports.
T7- is San Marino's registration prefix, issued by the CAA San Marino. It is popular internationally because San Marino's registry offers a favourable environment for foreign-owned aircraft — including import tax exemption for aircraft held under an AOC or by foreign operators. Many European and Asian-owned private jets are registered in San Marino for this reason. The aircraft itself can be based anywhere.
Yes — subject to applicable DGCA permits and clearances for foreign-registered aircraft. Enthral Aviation coordinates all landing and overflight permits for G-, F-, D-, T7-, HB-, A6-, and other registered aircraft visiting India, as part of every trip arrangement.

M- is the Isle of Man aircraft registry, operating under UK CAA oversight. The Isle of Man Aircraft Registry has grown significantly as a destination for international business jet registrations due to its regulatory framework and efficiency.
