Charter pricing isn't a fixed rate card — it's built from several factors that change with every route and aircraft. Here's what actually goes into a quote, so you know what you're paying for before you ask for one.
Note: Every figure below describes what influences a quote, not a fixed price. Actual costs depend on the specific aircraft, operator, route, and date — always confirmed at the time of enquiry, never guessed from a website.
This is the single biggest factor. A Light Jet suited to a short domestic hop costs meaningfully less to operate than a Heavy Jet or Ultra Long Range aircraft capable of an intercontinental sector — larger aircraft burn more fuel, require larger crews, and carry higher maintenance costs, all reflected in the charter rate.
Most operators charge a minimum booking value — typically the equivalent of a set number of flying hours per day — regardless of how long the actual flight is. This is standard industry practice, not an Enthral-specific policy, and applies even on non-flying days within a multi-day itinerary.
If the nearest available aircraft isn't already at your departure airport, it needs to fly there first ("positioning"), and may need to reposition afterward for its next booking. These empty flight legs are typically built into your quote.
International private charters from India are subject to GST, charged in addition to the base charter cost. Domestic charters and NSOP (Non-Scheduled Operator's Permit) categorisation can affect the applicable rate. Tax treatment is genuinely complex and depends on the specific aircraft's registration and permit category — always confirm the exact applicable tax with your operator and a qualified tax advisor rather than relying on a general guide like this one.
Landing fees, parking charges, and — if your preferred airport is full — the cost of repositioning to an alternate airport, all factor into the final invoice. These vary significantly by airport and are usually billed at actuals.
If ground time at an airport exceeds a standard threshold, "watch hour" charges may apply to cover extended crew duty. Crew detention charges can also apply depending on your itinerary.
Onboard catering, ground transport coordination, and any special requests (specific dietary needs, additional baggage handling) are typically quoted separately from the base charter cost.
The one genuine way to charter at a significantly reduced rate: empty leg flights, where an aircraft is already repositioning without passengers. The trade-off is fixed dates and routes — you're booking an existing flight, not requesting a custom one.
Because so many of these factors are route- and date-specific, the only way to get a real number is to ask. Share your route, dates, and passenger count, and our concierge team will return a detailed, itemised quote — not a vague estimate.
Tell us your route and dates — we'll break down exactly what's included.
