Any international charter needs overflight and landing permits from every country's aviation authority along the route — not just the destination. Requirements, lead times, and permitted routings vary significantly by country, and some countries (often referred to as Prior Reference Countries) require considerably longer lead times.

We coordinate permit applications across your network of operators well ahead of departure, tracking each country's specific documentation and lead-time requirements so nothing holds up the trip at the last minute.

Beyond the permit, every flight needs an actual filed flight plan — route selection accounting for weather, NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen), airspace restrictions, and fuel planning, then formally filed with air traffic control before departure.

This is where route efficiency actually gets decided: the right routing can mean a meaningfully shorter, smoother, more fuel-efficient trip than a generic one.

What happens once the aircraft is actually on the ground — marshaling, baggage and passenger handling, aircraft servicing coordination, and ramp safety at each airport along the route. This is typically delivered by a licensed ground handling agency at each stop.

Air navigation service charges apply for use of each country's air traffic control and navigation infrastructure along the route — these vary by country and airspace, and are billed separately from landing fees.

We account for these as part of trip planning and cost estimation, so navigation charges are a known, budgeted line item rather than a surprise on the final invoice.

The Fixed Base Operator (FBO) is the private terminal at each airport — the arrival lounge, ground transport coordination, fueling, and passenger-facing side of the trip. Choice of FBO affects everything from privacy to how quickly you actually get from car to cabin.
