How to Charter a Private Jet in India: A First-Timer's Guide

If you've never chartered before, the process is far simpler than it looks from the outside. Here's exactly what happens, from your first message to touchdown.

Step 1: Define Your Trip

Before contacting anyone, have a rough idea of: departure and arrival cities, preferred dates (with some flexibility if possible), number of passengers, and any special requirements (pets, extra luggage, medical needs).

Step 2: Reach Out

Contact our concierge team via WhatsApp, phone, or our charter request form. Share your trip details — there's no lengthy form to fill out first.

Step 3: Receive a Quote

Our team returns curated aircraft options matched to your route and group size, typically within the hour. Each quote reflects the actual factors involved — see our charter cost guide for what goes into it.

Step 4: Confirm & Pay

Once you select an aircraft, a Proforma Invoice is issued. Charters are confirmed upon receipt of full advance payment — standard practice across the charter industry, not unique to any one broker.

Step 5: Permissions (International & Certain Domestic Routes)

International charters, and flights to certain restricted or defense-adjacent airfields, require permissions to be filed in advance. For international sectors involving foreign nationals, passport details and confirmed timings are typically needed at least 10 working days ahead. Our team handles this process on your behalf.

Step 6: Fly

Arrive at the private terminal or FBO — typically just 15-30 minutes before departure, not the hours required for commercial travel. No check-in queues, no security lines in the way you'd experience commercially.

Common First-Timer Questions

Do I need to book far in advance?

Not necessarily — short-notice and same-day charters are common, subject to aircraft availability.

What documents do I need?

A valid government ID for domestic travel; a valid passport (and visa, where required) for international travel. See our Terms & Conditions for the full passenger documentation policy.

Can I bring pets?

Generally yes, subject to the specific aircraft and operator — mention this when you first reach out so it's factored into aircraft selection.
